Assisted Purchase Program (APP) is a purchasing program for overseas customer who are interested in shopping goods that are only available in Japan. Ryu Mei can help customer purchase products in Japanese shops on his/her behalf. And if product is available for purchase, Ryu Mei will purchase the product of interest and ship to customer overseas.

Customer gives a clear detail description and quantity of product to our sales manager by email. Our sales department will assist all APP customers and email address is sales@ryu-mei.com. Customer must have an online shopping account in order to utilize this APP service. Click here to create a new APP account. Please note that Ryu Mei do not purchase nor ship products that are dangerous to ship internationally. Product like firearms, drugs, explosive materials, knife etc. |
Before we make purchase, we check the availability of the product with seller. If product is available for purchase, we confirm with customer the product with images or web link, and price, quality, and quantity. If product is not available for purchase, we will either suggest an alternative or notify customer the product cannot be purchase. |
After customer has checked the product and has made the final decision to purchase product, Ryu Mei will send an invoice for 1st payment*. Customer may log into account to check and confirm product description, quantity, price before purchase. All payment can be paid by Japanese Yen or US Dollar. All payment transaction can be via Paypal, Moneybooker, Bank of America (US resident only), or Yamaguchi Bank (Japan). Each payment transaction has different fees, and customer are responsible for the transaction fee payment. 1st Payment = Product + Payment Fees + Service Fees *This is the 1st payment for the product not including shipping fees. Shipping cannot be calculated or estimated without the full understanding of the product's weight, size and shape.

Shipping calculation will be carried out only after we have received the product. Customer must pay the 2nd shipping payment* before the product can be released and shipped. Ryu Mei offers the following shipping services to customer overseas:
The cost of shipping depends on the weight, shape, and size of products plus the country of delivery address. 2nd Payment = Shipping Fees + Service Fees** *This is the 2nd payment for the product shipment. **Service Fees is for combine shipping, or payment transaction fees. |
Benefits of Assisted Purchase Program
1. Japanese language barrier: Customer who does not know the Japanese language can rely on our Japanese staff to purchase the product of interest. With just a few YEN for our APP service, foreign customer does not need to worry about online sign up, shipping etc in Japanese.
2. Product Check: APP service ensures product is checked and inspected for any damages, defect, missing quantity, or wrong product before customer receive order.
3. International Address: Many Japanese shops and sellers do not ship directly to international addresses, but our APP service can. Ryu Mei will ship all your products to your home with company discount rate.
4. Combine Shipping: APP service offers combine shipping rate to customers who wish to purchase many items. Instead of paying several heavy fees for multiple shipping orders, APP can combine your multiple orders together for one cheap shipping rate. There is a small handling fees for combining multiple orders altogether. For few item buyers, we only charge 200YEN per item, compare to other companies, they charge from 800YEN to 2400YEN per box.
5. Payment: APP service allows international customer to pay Japanese merchandise with paypal or other online payment service which Japanese sellers and shops do not accept. Moreover, most Japanese sellers and shops do not accept US credit card nor other forms of currencies.
6. Refunds and Returns: After package has been shipped overseas, international buyers will not be able to receive refunds nor returns. Hence, our 2. Product Check assists overseas customers to ensure all products are in good condition and nothing is missing before shipping to overseas.
