This is actually quite beautiful and exquisite.

This teacup is not Bizen-Yaki. It was returned. True Bizen Yaki has an absence of glaze (other than ash), and markings resulting from straw and wood-burning kiln firing. This piece had a glaze applied. I asked to have my return postage paid since the product was misrepresented and they refused. Purchase with caution!
Thank you for feedback. This item is Bizen Yaki and is as described by our supplier in Japan. Our expert has also certified this item as Bizen Yaki and moreover our Japanese supplier in Gifu Prefecture has certified and authenticated this item as Bizen Yaki.
Unfortunately, if the item is not broken, Ryu Mei is not responsible for any return shipment due to reason as described above by customer.
Ryu Mei is more than generous enough to accept the postage and new replacement with no extra charges to the customer (incl. international customers). It is our guarantee.

Expensive... Yet it deserves every cent! Most beautiful cups I've ever seen. A+
