Loading... Please wait...We are proud to introduce a brand new product called Organic Fukamushi "Supreme" Sencha. It is named "Supreme" because it has a deep emerald green color of infusion with a very intense taste and aromas.“Fukamushi”literally means heavy steaming in Japanese as sencha leaves are steamed about 2-3 times longer comparing to a regular organic sencha. This heating process makes the tea leaves coarser, and creates a strong yet mellow infusion. Well-balanced with soft sweet flavor, rich glassy taste and deeper refreshing aroma.
Fukamushi sencha's nutritional constituents of the tea leaves, such as vitamins, catechin, anti oxidant, etc. which is normally insoluble in water, are easily extracted more than in a regular organic sencha. Recommended choice!
Harvested near the southern part of Kyoto, our tea leaves are 100% organically grown with chemical free biomass and water.
Nagata Sencha is produced by the Nagata Family who unlike most farmers was the first to produce Organic Tea in Uji Chaen, Japan. Tea farm is located at Southern Kyoto. Instead of using fertilizers, chemical, animal manure, herbicides or pesticides to fertile their tea garden soil, the Nagatas have discovered new agricultural methods to nurture tea plant that will produce tea twice as long a period of time and twice as powerful as their nutritious value.
The Nagata Family's passion, dedication and perseverance to make the finest tea have finally paid off. Now, we can enjoy green tea from Uji's centuries old tea plantation that is respectfully referred to as Uji-Chaen.
Quality, Aromas, Color, Flavor of organic fukamushi sencha is highly variable, and depends not only on origin but also the processing method
Aromas Very strong, deep, glassy aromas.
Flavor (Taste) sweet, rich glassy taste.
Weak Hika* aromas, and a superior flavor.
| Quantity Each cup 2.25 grams of tea per 6 ounces of water, or about 1 teaspoon of green tea. Steeping Steeped 1 to 1.5 minutes. Temperature Sencha Green teas should be prepared with 60°C to 80°C (160°F to 180°F) water. Noted that boiling water will rid of the tea leaves flavor and the tea will become overly astringent. Water Mineral Water is highly recommended. Hard water will result in a flat taste while distilled water without any mineral will brew a tasteless tea. It is best to brew the tea only 1 time. |
