Product Description

Shizuoka is a prefecture in Japan where it got her Japanese green tea fame around the world, but Saitama is famous locally for producing Japan's oldest and best green tea. Saitama's farmlands have centuries of history behind it and farmers have been using the same traditional method to harvest and process green tea since the ancient times. Sayama green tea is considered the jewel of green tea of the Kanto region.

Brewing Method

Quantity
Each cup 2.25 grams of tea per 6 ounces of water, or about 1 teaspoon of green tea.

Steeping
Steeped 2 to 3 minutes.

Temperature
Sencha Green teas should be prepared with 80°C to 90°C (180°F to 190°F) water. Noted that boiling water will rid of the Sencha leaves flavor and the tea will become overly astringent.

Mineral Water is highly recommended because it enhace the flavor with mineral. Hard water results in a flat taste while distilled water without any mineral will brew a tastless tea
