	Jasmine flower tea (茉莉花茶: mòlìhuā chá) is Chinese tea made by adding jasmine flowers flavor over green tea leaves. The resulting flavor of jasmine tea is subtly sweet. Tea scented with jasmine flowers has been a specialty in China since the Song Dynasty ruled over 800 years ago. The Jasmine plant is believed to have been brought to the world from China sometime during the Period of Disunity (220-589). Jasmine flower is from Guangxi province, and green tea is from Anhui.

Brewing Method

Quantity
Regular 1 teaspoon for every 8oz cup of water.

Steeping
Steeped 1.5 to 2 minutes.

Temperature
Hot water at 175°F to 180°F.

Water
Mineral Water is highly recommended because it enhances the flavor with mineral. Hard water results in a flat taste while distilled water without any mineral will brew a tasteless tea.
